How Search.Market Works

The Split Recruiting Model

Every placement on Search.Market involves two roles that can be filled by the same recruiter or different recruiters:

Job Owner

The recruiter who owns the client relationship. They manage the job order, coordinate with the hiring manager, and handle all client-side communication.

Submitter

The recruiter who sources and screens candidates. They submit candidates via RFI, prep candidates for interviews, and manage the candidate-side relationship.

Commission Splits

Job Owner share (default)45% of GP
Submitter share (default)45% of GP
Solo deal (same recruiter)90% of GP

Job Owner and Submitter can negotiate any custom split of the 90% recruiter pool. The platform's 10% is always non-negotiable.

Ownership Model

There are no exclusive locks on clients or candidates. Ownership is earned and maintained through documented two-way communication.

If you stop communicating, you lose ownership — ensuring every client and candidate is actively being worked.
